So I opted for the better deal. Should have kept the 01 TDI. Got pissed of about the intake cleaning and modding to prevent it. The TDI is a great car. Pulls strong stock. Will pull a stock 1.8T on a 5th gear roll on from 60 to about 100 or so. The 1.8T is faster car stock pure and simple. The TDI is just a bit of a different driving experience. Why is a 1.9 TDI better than a 2.0 TDI? The 1.9 is slightly more economical, the 2.0 is quicker revving, smoother, faster, quieter. The 1.9 only has a 5 speed box though. The 2.0 doesn't pull quite as well from low revs (the 1.9 is like a tank) but is less peaky.

id try your best to go for a 1.9tdi. I have a mk5 sdi. o7 plate. i love my car. handles well, looks great. build quality is second to none, but i constantly find myself wishing i could overtake and accelerate more confidently. drove a 1.9 and although it wasnt fast, it wasnt slow, which the sdi just is.
Sa 1,9 TDI sam presao 80k km bez ikakvih problema, snage dovoljno za nase ceste. 2.0 TDI osjetno jaci, trosi u prosjeku nekih 1-1,5 lit vise, ali puno pogodniji za autoceste jer je mjenjac sa 6 brzina. Sto se pouzdanosti tice sa ovom sam presao malo preko 100k km, na nekih 70k km kvar na dosser klapni od 700 KM.

I didn't even know you could get 1.9 TDI's in 2010, I thought it was only 1.6 and 2.0 . Viking Insurance co's are crap. much better than stated in mfr figures! My Dieseldorf, Comparing the Mobil-1 Super Syn 0W-40 (505.00 compliant) to the Truck and SUV 5W-40, are there any advantages/disadvantages to either.
